You could create a single column containing the folder path you want.

If you make the column 'hierarchical' (preferences -> look & feel -> tag browser) then you can also open/close the hierarchy in the tag browser. In this case you would use the 're' template function to convert the period into a slash when using the item as a path in the send template ({#foocolumn:re(.,/)}).
