From my experience with the Sony, Calibre could auto-build collections for you using the tags. And so a book would wind up in multiple collections which is useful.

If I'm in the mood for an "Adventure" story, why should it also ignore my SciFi/Fantasy books as well? Plenty of those types of books there too. Being able to have a book in multiple collections (which the nook seems to have issues with in the filesystem as far as I can tell) is a bonus for those of us who mentally browse by genre rather than author. For the latter (or Aztak users), yeah you are right, if you can live without cover art.
