welcome to the kobo touch club (you will love it). As for why Kobo doesn't sell online. Well basically they are a victim of their own success. Kobo Readers were really designed to be the in house reader for Chapters/Indigo in Canada and to help with promoting ebook sales in Canada (where neither amazon or sony ereaders had ever caught on in a big way). Since they had shipping and in store sales via Chapters there was no need to develop it for the Kobo site, especially since they had a deal in place with borders, now with borders folding I won't be suprised if Kobo picks up a new American partner or tries to woo independent book stores into their network.
