I, too, like the full keyboard on my Kindle 2. And I like the more solid construction -- at least it seems more solid to me. I even bought a reconditioned 2nd K2. Also, because Amazon is not updating the software, all of my hacks are likely to keep working. My K2 is jailbroken, font hacked, screen-saver hacked, and has launchpad installed to start Duokan Light quickly. I like the free 3G and don't feel tempted by Wifi.
In short, it does everything I want it to do. The only thing that it doesn't have is the better display the K3 has. Like a slant-6, push-button shifting Pymouth Valient, it is not the sexiest beast, but I'll drive it into the ground.
