So far I've recommended it to at least 5-6 people, and several of them have bought one, and in turn gone on and recommended it to other people who also have bought one.
Most of these people have been serious about reading, and were / are considering buying a dedicated e-reader rather than another device that supports ebooks. I always remind them that the Kindle screen is specifically designed for ebooks, and that tablets and other computer devices aren't, so that if they want to avoid eyestrain, headaches and glare they should get a purpose built ereader!
Oh yes, I do have a Kindle Wifi, and love it! I use it for at least 1 hour every day. So far I have read over 110 books on it.
