Did you fix it? Find the bad epub? Curious as to what the problem was. Well, it seems from your posts you are on your way to fixing the problem...

Too many times I'm been down this road (spending 3-7+ hours) trying different trial-and-error to get some parts of gadgets working before reaching an epiphany.

It's great if you're able to fix the problem.
