I bought one of these:

It's a wall outlet with two USB power ports. I was going to mount it in place of the outlet next to my desk chair, where I currently charge my phone and readers using the standard sort of wall warts. But the box in the wall is too shallow; there's not enough room behind it for the wires. My house is older and this is one of the original outlet boxes - the more modern boxes I put in when I wired the garage would fit this outlet. But I don't want to charge my devices in the garage. So I set the outlet aside; I'll install it somewhere someday. But now I am wondering if it would even turn out to work, or if it would not have the two shorted pins that match up with the newer stuff?

Anyone installed one of these?
