That's a good idea. I use my oven for heating things though, and it would be a bit impractical. And at least the pot would handle it if I turned on the oven even if I forgot it was in there - I partly melted a toaster not so long ago. Kept it in the oven and forgot it was there... Still usable, but... It was a nice expensive Bodum one, too
