I'm getting so fed up waiting for someone to release some decent software on the Android Market. Everything is free or priced at a couple of dollars, and it really is indicative of the quality.

Look at the vast range of professional level music apps on iOS: you can use the iPad as a quite good sounding guitar amp or effects peddle, turn it into a fully-functioning Tenuri-on (saving a second purchase of 500 dollars), or a fully modelled Korg analogue keyboard.

Search for music production apps on Android and you get four 'keyboards' which aren't laid out in any usable format and make silly noises.

Even if Amazon release decent hardware at an even better price-point than Apple, it won't make any difference if apps for the serious user continue to (not) come at the same rate as they have so far on the Android Market.
