You were absolutely right, Joe---it was Calibre that was causing the issues. I deleted those files you mentioned, opened up Adobe and was able to move the books over using that. You can't imagine how happy I was to finally SEE them there on my Kobo!

Thank you all so much for your help and patience! Off I go to read!

edit: okay, it appears I spoke too soon. I managed to get *one* book on there, and now none of the other ones are showing up. Adobe says they're on there, I can see them when I open up the Kobo as a drive, they're in a folder, but none of the rest of them are showing up in my books list. What am I doing wrong?

I guess I'll try the reset again and start from scratch. Fingers crossed.
