In the kitchen, I love it low-tech...

This picture shows two of my favorites: my mezzalune knife, and my mortar in pestle made from vitrified stoneware.



(I took this pic to illustrate a blogpost with a recipe for a pesto made with bittercress, the herb on the cutting board)

And my "coticule" whetstone, that keeps all my knifes razorsharp...
