Does the pattern show when you are playing video?

I noticed this on my Xoom. Mildly annoying. But only when playing video that was rescaled. I assumed it had something to do with the OS functions for rescaling video.

It seems to be gone after upgrading to Android 3.2. I just checked, and I can't see it anymore.

It was a square black grid that was slightly less black than black parts in a video. It was most obvious in dark parts of video.
