Not strictly true... I regularly have my years-old 505 go to only one bar before charging but I agree and prefer to charge with mains charger especially as not all computer USB ports are created equal or even to "standard." I charge normally around 7-10 days and get no lock-ups either except once with a corrupt epub file...
