MizSuz described something very similar to what I am seeing. Using the restore column default view does restore the view, but I'd like to keep what I had in the first place.

Hopefully this will show. I have before the hookup of my device after I dragged the column to the left.

After the device hookup the read column is gone, and so is the on device column.
