This drives me crazy. My husband and I don't drink, but we DO watch the Food Network and last year I tried to buy a little 6 oz bottle of wine for a steak marinade. The cashier had to inform me that I couldn't buy it, but we could "wait 10 minutes" until 11 am, and THEN we could buy it.

Meanwhile, the line was backing up, and I was MORTIFIED. I declined to wait, and cursed my stupid dry state all the way home.
