I've read "Ensayo sobre la ceguere" (Published in English under "Blindess" though the accurate translation would be "Essay on Blindness").
I loved it. The only thing I didn't quite like though is the punctuation. He can write 65 word sentences, no commas. That makes you get lost between dialogues (it isn't neither formatted in that way).
José Saramago's wall of text critically hit you for 20463 damage.
Still, 10/10 IMO.
After I finish my current book, I might go for "Elephant Journey"
