The book was a bit more risqué. The ghost couple were a riot. George Kerby was jealous because his wife Marion kept trying to put the moves on Topper. He didn't accept her excuse that she was free to fool around because the marriage vows only extended "until death do you part." Of course, that doesn't explain why she felt Cosmo Topper was fair game, since he was married, and both he and his wife were very much alive.
