Ah... it was a WONDERFUL ride! My wife did the route planing and we followed 95% roads that we'd never been on before. Most were either along side of rivers running through mountain valleys, or else higher up going over the mountains themselves. Absolutely beautiful. Sorry, but we didn't stop for pictures. The weather cooperated nicely by remaining overcast all day, thereby reducing some of this awful heat. And because these were all rural roads with virtually no traffic, we could enjoy a nice breeze as we rode. (Our riding jackets are of a mesh material so the wind passes through.)

We stopped for lunch at a small restaurant next to a large tea plantation, and ate while admiring the views over the mountainside. The green tea they served us was grown just a few meters from where we were sitting... My wife loved it, but to me it was just 'green.' I'm happy to be home again now and drinking a mug of China Black!
