Maybe those in Australia and other countries having trouble ordering from Borders or Chapters-Indigo should try Swindon's in Hong Kong: https://www.swindonbooks.com/koboTouch_orderform.asp, just announced as an official Kobo retailer. Their FAQ says they ship internationally, and lots of people from other countries already buy electronics directly from mail-order retailers in Hong Kong.
