Ahh, then I was wrong, another fan of way-too-complicated books. David (thinkpadx) said the 4th book wasn't good and he was kinda disappointed so I decided one book was enough for now and also because the series hasn't finished (it took GRRM 5 or 6 years to write the 5th book? I shudder to think that I have to reread the series to remember crucial info when the last book comes out... )

And to your earlier post, you're right, this series has a strong point: everybody acts to their benefits and it's understandable when the time comes to reveal their motivations. There's no "bad-to-the-bone" guy and no one's angel, either. But somehow I failed to like, to feel the sympathy with the characters in the book. I felt indifferent. And feeling indifferent while reading sucks, you know what I mean.
