There certainly are 'parts and pieces' that cause us trouble, (like the KY paint,) but by and large rain isn't an issue when riding unless you don't have a rain suit and it's cold out. Then hypothermia sets in quickly and really messes up one's riding skills! There were times, back in the days before we could afford good rain suits, where we'd stop in a 7-Eleven, buy a box of zip-lock bags and three or four cups of coffee, pour the hot coffee into the bags and triple-bag them, then stuff them inside our jackets to try an keep warm enough to ride home!
