I have only bought about 200 books since then. The unread pile is 1 or 2 if you don't count anthology collections of classics and westerns (3000 books for $10) . Anyway paid books only county. Free books introduce you to new authors then you by the rest .( eg: Honour Harrington).
Is it addiction when you reread whole series annually when you can't afford new books or none of your favourite authors will write fast enough.
You may be an addict, but it doesn't sound like you have a serious problem with accumulating unread ebooks. Which is the problem most of us here have.

Don't look in the spoiler if you like SF/Fantasy and have an ebook buying problem.
Spoiler:
Since you mention Honor Harrington, can I assume you've found the rather wonderful Baen Books ebooks website?

But perhaps you haven't yet found the Angry Robot ebook store, or
Ridan Publishing, or Diane Duane's ebook store or Book View Cafe all of which offer sensibly priced DRM-free ebooks that you'll probably like.
