This has been happening with my KT since the new update. The first time it happened I thought I'd accidentally put it to sleep instead of power off. The second time I knew for sure there was a problem.
I changed my sleep and power off settings to never. I haven't had a problem since but I hope it's fixed in the next update. I don't want it to drain my battery.
