I spent some time (25 years ago) as Director of Academic Programs and 'Dorm parent' at a small private high school for 'students at risk.' These were kids who'd been thrown out of half a dozen different schools before being sent to this one, where their parents spent enough money to be promised that they would never be sent down... Being attacked by students was pretty common. Not a problem.
I'm in regular contact with about 10 of them these days on Facebook.
