Hello to everybody

I'm an old university professor of ther. phys. who has always be fond of literature. Having an Austrian grandmother, a frenche mother, an italin father and having studied at the imperial college in London, I speak and read a number of languages and had a lot of authors to read. I did it all my life. Recently I decided to publish a book on Lewis Carroll (a novel actually) which waas already printed in italian and it will be soon published in russian Federation and I am writing my second novel. I use Calibre, a Sony ebook reader to collect and read books, which I like to find at Gallica and internet archive (and many other places). My major problem now is that of finding russian novels translated into english or french (french translations are better but not easy to be found around) as I cannot read russian decently. Ebooks are in my opinion much better than paper ones; I do not appreciate the mystic of old paper books even if I can understand those who like them. This is due maybe to the fact that my professional research is about information theory in physical theories and in ebooks you just manage the pure informational content of a novel: something very abstract indeed:

semantic of the authors ->a long symbols strings-> semantical interpretation of the reader.

Nice problem !

best regards to everybody
Carlo
