I'm going to hijack the thread slightly; I hope I'm forgiven.

I don't think I have a terrible ebook problem. I used to, but with Kobo coupons being less frequent and generous, Kobo's abysmal customer service, and Random House's joining the evil cabal, I find I'm not tempted the way I once was. I'm eating away at the (rather substantial) eTBR pile and not adding much to it.

But I also have a pbook problem and that's why I'm here to pat my back. At the beginning of the year, I filled a laundry basket with unread pbooks, my goal being to finish them by year-end. I won't make it; just the same, I'm pleased and proud to report that I've read 23 of the laundry basket books and have only purchased two pbooks. Go, me.

My revised plan is to top up the laundry basket at the beginning of next year (I've got some two or three more years' worth of reading here). Any book that spends two years in the laundry basket without being read will be deaccessioned unread.
