One thing is for sure:

6" Pearl Kindle in the US can be had for $114 with wifi
6" Pearl Kobo can be had in the US for $130 with wifi and touch
6" Pearl Nook had be had in the US for $140 with wifi and touch

and the Sony?

5" Pearl Sony in the US for $180 with touch
6" Pearl Sony in the US for $230 with touch
7" Pearl Sony in the US for $300 with wifi and touch

This isn't rumour, it's reality. Sony is 102% more expensive than a functionally similar Kindle.

The rumour is Sony will provide a refresh of at least two existing eink models next month. Hopefully one of the refreshes will be price.
