With the PDF books I've converted with pdflrt, a full page of text is displayed just like any LRT. You click the page right button to see the next page; no hassle. The disadvantage is you can't enlarge the text but this doesn't bother me. Also, I'll grant you that some PDFs (like those with two columns of text) might not convert very well.
