Except, of course, the company that did the upgrade did it in 2005, and the company with the incompatible software is still shipping it 6 years after the upgrade occurred and, by the way, the incompatible stuff is DRM crap that never needed to be installed in the first place, which is why the free open source software works with both kinds of machines.
