I got my 505 in 2008 and haven't turned back. EBooks generally cost less, a factor for a retiree to consider. And (for me the most important consideration) take less room. Between my laptop and three readers, I have approx 4500 eBooks much easier to take with me (all of them) on out travels, we spend most of our time traveling around in our motorhome.

If I can't get the book in eBook format, I'll just wait until it comes out in digital format; Robert Jordan and J K Rowling case in point.
