I actually mentioned this in my post asking the question. Nobody advertises but Amazon. And the Reader is just as accessible as the Nook or Kindle; meaning, mostly online, and mostly through their own store.

So "MIA" doesn't make sense to me... hence me asking!

I don't think it's fair to characterize the OP as linkbait. The logical conclusion is ePUB based on the Sony partnership. However, the PR does talk about full accessibility, which at this point in the game means either plain text (so unlikely, not even mentioned in this thread), PDF (a disaster) or multiple formats (the likely answer).
