It really does make a difference. There are flip-flops that have cloth over the top of the foot, rather than plastic, and a contoured foot bed. These two changes turn a simple 'slippa' into very comfortable footwear. Then there is the difference between those that fit between the first two toes and the ones that just loop over the instep. It's a matter of finding what works for you!
