I'm about to start "Barney's Version" by Mordecai Richler. He's the one who wrote the movie "The Apprenticeship of Duddy Kravitz".

Mordecai Richler was (he died couple years ago) an Anglophone living in Québec who always spoke his mind against French. He apparently writes pretty well so I'll give it a go... even if I don't accept his ideas.
