On your PC, it depends on the OS. but for most all windows version if you open a command window and type...
ipconfig /all
it will show you your IP address.
you can also look on the Roku forms... I think I saw a thread about this issue there. I don't recall what the problems were.

Oddly, I left it alone for a while, came back to it today and all was fine. I started thinking that maybe I would keep the Roku and put it on another TV. So, I started streaming a movie that I had already streamed on the LG and Samsung for comparison, and for some reason, it only streams when I have it on a low SDTV setting, which looks less-than-great on an HDTV. So now I'm back to figuring out if it'll stream in HD. It should stream in HD, it's supposed to be their newest and best Roku, the XDS. Hmmm...
