my dd has a kindle and I don't find it as being a quality product. l love my Ipad 2 and bring it out as well as use it in the house. I created my own bag for it that has a removable strap so when I bring it out I wear it in its own bag. I don't find it heavy and I find it far superier in quality over any of the other tablets on the market.
