I know I'm dumb, but how can I view all the free books available on kindle in one convenient place ?
Because every time I try any search terms I can think of (free ebooks, free ebooks for Kindle, etc..), I get a few classics, Sherlock Holmes, Treasure Island et al, then a book for .86p titled "How to Find Free Kindle Books" or similar. Followed by various at £3-49, etc... and another couple of freebies, then more priced books.
Is it really as simple as Amazon thinking if they make hard for you to go simply through free book titles, you'll give up and buy one ?
Are " they" really that dumb....?

Go the the Kindle e-books page. Scroll down a bit, and on the right side you'll see Bestsellers, with two tabs below that, click on the Top 100 Free.
For more free books, excluding public domain books, in the search bar on that same page type "-domain" and then sort the list by price, low to high. You can exclude excerpts, samples, etc. by similarly adding "-excerpt"; "-sample"; etc. for whatever you want to exclude. The first few thousand books will be the free books.
