A tip: as soon as it's healed get a segment ring (one without a ball). My original piercing, a ring with a ball kept flipping to the left and get stuck under the daith and the piercing got irritated. Since I got the (smaller) segment ring I haven't had a problem. I really feel like getting a piercing now, but it's probably a better idea to wait until the old piercing is healed.
Glad to hear Oni is doing better, both health wise and with Sushi.
