Thanks. That's interesting. I think every girl in my high school (and I went to a huge school, 1352 kids in my graduating class,) had a Sweet 16 party. The only differences were the venues and the number of people invited. I guess the majority of them were held at home. But I don't remember any of the girls I grew up with NOT having some sort of Sweet 16 party. Really just a more formalized birthday party. Weird. I never even KNEW anybody who had a Sweet 16 party. Maybe more of a regional thing where you were? Of course, I never knew anybody who did the debutante thing either!
