It won't be long now. They have been trying to pass the new laws concerning "Passport Cards" for a couple of years now. Keeps getting voted down, but by a smaller margin each time. I got one when I renewed my regular passport as I figure there will be a rush for them once the law is passed. The idea is that they want to make it a law that you must show this pass card to travel from one state to another. Several states already have Official Border Crossing check points, and have had for many years. They want to establish these for all states.

Yes, it's also required for Amtrak. And I won't put him on a bus....too many opportunities for him to be snatched.
