I suppose that the idea would be to buy an ereader that supported the formats that
ebooks of the language you are interested in come in. If you wanted a reader to read
Russian ebooks I expect that you would want it to support .fb2 files, for instance.
There are not only different formats to consider but different forms of the language
and even pinyin for representing them. It might be a trick to pick what matches the
ebooks that you are looking to read.
