I agree. Whatever happened to treating an elder with some respect? Not every older person is computer savvy either. My mother is 68 and can't even figure out where the power button on my computer is (or so she tells me). I've always thought that the 3G model is more for if you do a lot of traveling. I have the wi-fi model myself and it works great with my modem and computer. I just go online via my netbook to Amazon or here at MR and either buy the book I want and tell it to download to my Kindle or download the title at MR and side load it via the cable. You do have to make sure the side loaded books are in the Documents folder or the won't show up even though they are there but they work well with the Kindle reader.
