Some clarity around whether place of purchase is a factor would be appreciated. Will the same thing be an issue for devices purchased from retailers other than Borders? Or will all U.S. devices be affected? If it's a Borders thing give folks the opportunity to return it before these guys shut down and purchase from another retailer (at a future time) when in stock.
I'm tempted to go the route that Jack took, and return it to Borders while their doors are still open.
