There's a block downtown where the afternoon express buses to suburbs do a pick up; it's on the way from the library to my own (local) bus stop home. I've seen folks reading ebooks while waiting there. I've sat next to a woman at a counter at lunch, who had her nook propped up against a large glass of water, as a "stand" (there was little chance of the device itself getting soaked).

I believe I even saw someone Kindling-while-walking!
