First thing. To connect to the university WiFi you need to know three things, SSID, security and password. You should be able to get that information from the system administrator. I have a secured network both at home and work and have no problems connecting. The main thing you MUST get correct is the security key - get a letter or number wrong and you will never connect.

Next thing, why would you want to use the full size edge that way round? The large 10 inch LCD screen is more than adequate for writing on in the normal landscape mode, I use it that way all the time.

Maybe you are confused and in fact have the smaller Pocket Edge, referred to here as a PE and not the much larger Edge (EE) in which case I can appreciate your rotation problem.
