is it mean to tell a customer service rep of a bookstore that you won't buy a copy because it's slightly damaged? Or rather, what I said (in email) was, "I don't want to pay that much for a book that is less than brand new and damage-free."

Think that sounded bitchy? it was over $10 and had slight damage (meaning a little dirty cover and edges).
