It is a well known thing. When you start dieting, exercising etc., you loose weight fast, in the beginning. Then the process slows down, especially when there is not much left to loose or/and your body is used to the previous way of life and now it needs more time to adapt to the new/healthy living. It is natural. Accordingly to what you said, you lost a lot.
Another thing is that you only run, don't you? Doesn't matter 5km or 7km. You are doing it for the last 2 years? You body has adapted to this particular type of physical activity. You want to shock your body? Do something else.

An example from my life. A week or so ago I ran my petty mile with my wife. On the next day she said she felt some muscles in her legs and buttocks. A run of the mill situation? No. She goes to aerobic classes for 8 months. Sometimes two classes in a row. Different aerobic classes. One might be high impact aerobic, another hips, bums and tums.
Taking into the account my present health conditions I would be dead within 15 minutes in one of the classes, let alone two one hour classes in a row. However, I don't feel any physical strain my leg muscles after running 1 mile.

What am I about? It is a classical example about how our body adapts to one type of physical activity. Wife's teachers change exercises and music every 2 months. When I was young and wanted to be Arnold Schwarzenegger I read his notes and other material and they advices to switch tactics every 4-6 weeks.
