I agree. I have the Nook Classic, and loved reading on it. I bought the Nook Color because I wanted to reduce the number of devices I had to carry around with me when I was traveling, and the Color gave me the ability to watch movies and surf the web, also.

I was prepared to be disappointed in the Color with regards to the reading experience, but I actually like it a lot. Obviously, it is virtually useless in sunlight. But I have noticed no eyestrain issues, and the backlit screen is nice on planes, where the little reading lights make me feel like I'm on stage at night.
