I read on my kindle when the light is good and on my iPad after dark.I have no problems with eyestrain. With the right settings ( font size and screen luminosity the kindle app is as good an ereader as is its hardware brother. If I could only figure out how to make it search a different dictionary,so I can use the dictionary for the language the book I read is written in?!! The only thing I don't like about iPad is its dependence on iTunes v.b.
