I'm a new author and this is my first publication. So go easy on me!
A Handful of Acorns is the first volume in The Acorn Trilogy.
I started writing, long hand, (sigh) nearly ten years ago and now my cupboard is full of spiral note pads. My pc writing speed has improved though since that time.
Grandmaster Isan is plagued by wild chimes, coming from who knows where. He dispatches his senior aide, Ondur to go and find out who is ringing the chimes. Ondur's quest takes him north, where both he and a colleague find two very gifted young people, a boy and a girl. As they take on these new students, it quickly becomes apparent that there is more going on than just finding the two powerful novices. With Ondur away, Dimarl, a dissatisfied senior challenges Isan for the chain of office and a running fight ensues, and Ondur is forced to accept his destiny. As nations fall out, war become inevitable, and Dimarl tries evey thing in his power to stop the elder from achieving his goal. Each element has a champion and Ondur must find them first, as the future of the world is at stake. The wizards are split into two factions, those who serve and those who demand to be served. Two prophecies, one outcome. Which prophecy will prevail?
