Let me do publicly what I have already done privately . I apologize to Elfmark for the tone of my response to her above. Having slept on it, it is now clear to me that while the CONTENT of my post was arguably correct, the tone most certainly was not . It was strident, intemperate and self-righteous. In plain language, I was being an asshole.
I also apologize to kennyc.My post to elfmark was entirely wrong in tone, and his response to that post was a correct response to my offensive conduct to elfmark, even if wrong as to whether it was relevant.
As to the moderator, even though my post was relevant, I feel that my post violated the posting rules as to tone, and I apologize to you and the forum for that.
